Rugby sevens is back in San Luis Obispo!
Following a successful 15s regular season, Cal Poly women will play host to the West Coast Rugby Conference’s 7s championship on Saturday, April 8 on the Mustangs’ home field.
Matches start at 10 a.m. Cal Poly kicks off the day at 11 a.m. against UC Santa Cruz.

- Match 1 vs. UC Santa Cruz | 11 a.m.
- Match 2 vs. Sacramento State | 12:20 p.m.
- Match 3 vs. Saint Mary’s | 2 p.m.
- Championship Round | 3 p.m.
All times are subject to change. The championship round is contingent on performance in pool play.
The championship field features eight teams from the West Coast Rugby Conference’s Division II. Those teams, placed in two separate pools based on last season’s conference results, will play three pool matches. The top squads will move on to the championship round. Cal Poly is in Pool B along with Saint Mary’s, UCSC, and Sac State.
Those eight teams are San Jose State, Santa Clara, University of San Francisco, University of Nevada-Reno, Saint Mary’s, Cal Poly, UC Santa Cruz, and Sacramento State.
